Highbridge Festival of the Arts: week beginning March 5th. The school will be providing coaches for the
large group activities on Monday 5th,Tuesday
6th & Wednesday 7th.
These coaches will take the children to the competition but
parents will need to collect or arrange collection from The Princess Centre,
Burnham on Sea. Mrs Bowkett and Mrs
Plummer will hold a meeting on Thursday, 15th February to go through
all the arrangements with parents of children taking part in all the different
classes at the Festival. The meeting
will start at 3.20pm in Mrs Plummers classroom, where she will talk about the
arrangements for the individual & small group poetry entries and after that
Mrs Bowkett will go through the arrangements for choral poetry and
singing. If you cant make this meeting
please see Mrs Plummer or Mrs Bowkett.
Head Lice: It has been reported that a few children have head
lice at the moment. Could you please inspect your childs head.
This can be done by brushing the hair while it is damp with a detection comb or
a fine tooth comb over a piece of white paper. Any live lice in the hair should
drop out and be easily visible on the paper. If you find live lice, the wet
combing method of treatment should be used, this
should be repeated every 2 or 3 days until no live lice are found. It is also
very important to check the rest of the family and others who may have been in
close contact with your child
recently.
