Mrs Kelly is still not well enough to return to school and so we are looking to appoint an extra teacher for the spring term to support Koala’s class.  Mr Chapman will be teaching Koala’s class until the end of term and Mrs Young is able to begin the spring term until the appointment is made.

The new Parent Governor is Mr I Beretvas, who was elected unapposed. Thank you Mr Beretvas.

Christmas Celebration:  Friday 15th December – in St. Mary’s Church 6 pm start.  Please could children be in their classrooms by 5.30 pm in school uniform unless they have been told otherwise.  We are not using the Lady Chapel this year, we will use the central part of the church.  There will be a retiring collection that will be split between The Children’s Society and Promise to Africa.  After the service the children will go back to their classrooms and parents are asked to collect them from there.  As we need to clear the church on Friday evening, please could a few Dads help to carry back the stage blocks.

Christmas Parties:  Monday 18th December – We will have a buffet lunch followed by games and dancing.  In order to spread out the range of food please can we suggest that the following foods be brought in:-

Reception         Crisps or biscuits

Year 1               Sausages, sausage rolls or cheese and pineapple

Year 2              Sandwiches or filled rolls

Year 3              Cakes

Year 4              Bottles of squash, lemonade or fresh fruit

Our Christmas Tree in the hall looks fantastic.  It was lovely to have so many new decorations made by the children to put on the tree this year.  The year group winners were Timothy Lee, Olivia Dolcezza, Matthew Dalton, Harry Maund and Sam Dalton and the overall winner was Olivia and she switched the lights on.  A big thank you to Mr & Mrs Tremlett for donating the lovely tree.

Christmas Concert:  Thank you to the children who performed & the parents who supported them with their practising & watching them.  It was amazing to see the amount of concentration that is needed to read and play music.
